A climber on an indoor wall

Climbing physical therapy in Portland, Maine

Your tendons adapt slower than your muscles

Your forearms get stronger within weeks of harder training, while finger pulleys and tendons take months to catch up. A hard crimp loads the pulleys, every pull loads your elbow tendons, and steep terrain holds your shoulders at the end of their range. When your training outpaces those tissues, something gives.

How Christian gets you back on your project

An assessment built for climbing. Christian tests your grip, pulling strength, and shoulder control, then checks them against your training history to find what got overloaded.

A mapped return to the wall. You follow clear progressions from controlled hangboard loading back to full effort on your projects.

Strength work that lasts. Supplemental programming builds your fingers, elbows, and shoulders up so you can keep climbing hard for years.

Christian treats at EVO Rock + Fitness in Portland and spends his own days projecting routes around Maine. You won’t lose the first ten minutes of your session explaining what a crimp is or why that pocket on your project scares you.
