How I think about training
Most injuries in active people come down to load: your training asked more of a tendon, joint, or muscle than it was ready to handle. I program the other way around. I build your capacity first, add load in steps your body can absorb, and adjust to how you respond, so your strength keeps pace with the training you want to do.
It’s the same approach I use in rehab, which makes coaching a natural next step after physical therapy. It works just as well if you’re healthy and want to stay that way.
What to expect
Your first session.
A movement and strength screen, a conversation about your training and goals, and your first 4-week program built from what I find.
Four-week training blocks.
Each block arrives in the TrainHeroic app with every session written out, so you know exactly what to do when you get to the gym.
Monthly check-ins.
I review how the last block went and set the next one, adjusting the load to how your body handled it.
Running gait analysis if you run.
I film your stride and walk you through changes to run more efficiently.
Ongoing programming through the Ascension Program is $175 per 4-week block.
In person or by video
Train with me in person at EVO Rock + Fitness in Portland or live over video. For video sessions, all you need is a stable connection and enough floor space to move.
